Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Florida is seeking an Assistant Closing Manager to provide leadership during closing shifts and drive club performance. You will oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments, ensuring cleanliness, stocking, and a ready-for-morning-open environment.

A valid ServSafe certification is required, and a qualifier certification for propane oversight must be obtained in Florida. The role also covers audit readiness, team development, and delivering a positive member

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations preferred.
• Experience in managing inventory turnover and waste reduction strategies.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Open shift availability required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Own end-of-day execution: Oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments to ensure closing readiness.
• Lead by presence: Monitor floor during closing hours to support team performance.
• Maintain GOLD standards through close and ensure a safe, clean shopping environment.
• Coach onboarding and certifications: Reinforce ServSafe and department training.
• Collaborate with Club Managers and Department Leads to improve closing routines.
