Job summary

Center for Justice Innovation invites qualified clinicians to join Staten Island's Supervised Release Program. You will deliver crisis intervention, intake assessments, and coordinated service referrals to participants facing court obligations.

This role emphasizes collaboration with judges, attorneys, and community providers to promote stabilization and compliance. You will conduct assessments, design resource plans, and support participants through mandated programming while maintaining

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or a mental health field; LMSW or licensure preferred.
• Experience working in pretrial, court-based, or criminal legal systems.
• Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation required.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with trauma-informed and strength-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing and CBT preferred.
• Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intakes and holistic assessments.
• Create voluntary service and resource plans addressing criminogenic needs.
• Make referrals to address immediate needs.
• Assist participants to engage with referrals and understand court mandates.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
• Deliver cognitive behavioral therapy–informed sessions and programming.
• Coordinate with court stakeholders and service providers to support stabilization and compliance.
• Maintain accurate data entry and timely court reporting on participation and compliance.
• Attend trainings and participate in supervision to develop program expertise.
