Job summary

Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care, is seeking a Clinical Patient Navigator to support a busy outpatient wound care center. This role blends front-office administration with clinical support to streamline patient flow and ensure high-quality care.

You will handle insurance verification, appointment scheduling, charting, and charge entry under RN/provider direction. A CMA/CNA/EMT credential and medical office experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Graduate from CMA/EMT/CNA program approved by CAAHEP/ABHES.
• Current CMA, CNA or EMT Certification licensed in the state of employment.
• Minimum of two (2) years office administration experience, preferably in medical setting.
• Prior medical coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
• Greet patients and visitors, answer and route calls to appropriate staff.
• Verify patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations.
• Enter and reconcile patient charges; prepare monthly survey data.
• Assemble and maintain patient charts; assist with testing coordination.
• Under RN/Provider direction, provide wound-care related patient care as approved by protocols.
• May assist in intake/discharge within scope; assist Vein Clinic if applicable.
• Communicate with team on interventions to ensure quality of care.
