Job summary

Advocate Health's National Center for Clinical Trials seeks a Business Development Manager to identify and cultivate clinical trial opportunities with industry sponsors, CROs, and partners. Qualifications

• 3+ years in business development, sales, or sales support.
• 3+ years delivering clinical trial solutions within a matrixed organization.
• 2+ years using Salesforce or similar CRM to manage pipeline.
• Experience with sponsors, pharma/biotech, and CROs.
• Experience with academic medical centers or large site networks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a pipeline of clinical trial opportunities from initial outreach through contract execution.
• Develop relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, and other industry partners.
• Lead sponsor proposals, presentations, pitch materials, and contract negotiations.
• Partner with research, operations, legal, finance, and compliance teams to support new study onboarding and execution.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
• Strengthen sponsor relationships and identify opportunities for repeat or expanded partnerships.
• Coordinate prospective client meetings with Business Development leadership.
• Track and report KPIs, including pipeline activity, deal volume, revenue impact, and partner feedback.
