Purpose & Scope

The Clinical Technician II works under the direct supervision of the RN and is an active member of the healthcare team. They perform routine duties involving patient care, including activities of daily living, observing patient status changes, maintaining a clean and safe environment, transporting patients, and other related duties. Clinical Technicians must be empathetic, possess good communication skills, and have nursing skills to care for patients.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Six months of experience as a Clinical Technician I or equivalent, or enrollment/completion of a Clinical Technician II program, or successful completion of relevant medical/surgical clinical experiences.
• Certification: BLS certification required.
• Other Qualifications: Minimum of six education hours related to current role.
