Clinical Technician 1 - Observation Unit with Inova Fairfax Medical Campus

Full-time | Days | Shift: Days Vary, 6AM - 6:30PM

Three (3), 12-hour shifts per week | Rotating Weekends & Holidays.

The Observation Unit at renowned Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a dedicated and loyal Clinical Technician to join the team in a full-time capacity.

Shifts will be from 6AM-6:30PM with no rotating weekends or holidays.

Clinical Technician Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Provides direct care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse, including:
• ADLs
• Blood Draws
• IV Insertion
• Catheter / Foley insertion
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.

Requirements:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
• Training: Must be available for six weeks of paid training, including virtual modules, classroom sessions (8AM - 4:30PM for 6 shifts), and on-unit shifts.
• Experience: Prior healthcare experience preferred.
