Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a Clinical Technician 1 for Medical Surgical to join the team. The part-time, day shift runs 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification or eligibility within 90 days, and strong English communication plus the ability to lift 35 pounds. Training weeks are provided prior to on-unit shifts.

Clinical Technician 1 – Job Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.

• May perform additional duties as assigned

Training

Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:

• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
• Virtual training modules.
• On-unit shifts

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
