Job summary

Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time Technician I for Edna Mahan Correctional Facility in Clinton, NJ. The technician participates as a member of the clinical and administrative medical team, performing vital signs, assisting with procedures, and handling specimen collection.

This role requires CMA/EMT/CNA certification, CPR, a valid driver’s license, and at least two years of healthcare experience; onsite evening shift, 20 hours weekly, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

Valid CMA/EMT/CNA certification required.
At least two years of healthcare experience across multiple areas.
CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

Takes vital signs, height and weight and documents in electronic medical records (EMR).
Assists physician/advanced practitioner with procedures and patient examinations.
Obtains specimen collection and handling, including blood draws.
Assists with cleaning, sterilization and securing of equipment in Health Service Unit.
Maintains supply stock by ordering in a timely and appropriate manner.
Aggregates medication orders and forwards to the pharmacy.
