Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Full Time Technician I for Garden State Youth Correctional Facility in Yardville, NJ. The Technician I participates as a member of the clinical and administrative medical team at the Prison.

The role requires CMA/EMT/CNA certification and at least two years of healthcare experience, with an evening shift and on-site work. Rutgers offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Valid CMA, EMT, or CNA certification required.
• At least two (2) years of progressively more responsible healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Takes vital signs, height and weight and documents in EMR.
• Assists physician/AP with procedures and prepares inmate for examination.
• Obtains specimen collection and handling, including drawing blood.
• Assists with cleaning, sterilization and securing of equipment in Health Service Unit.
• Maintains supply stock in Health Service Unit and examination rooms.
• Aggregates orders of medications and forwards to pharmacy.
