Rutgers University Correctional Health Care seeks a Full Time Technician I for Southwoods State Prison in Bridgeton, NJ. The role supports the clinical and administrative medical team, performing vital signs, assisting with procedures, and managing specimen collection and pharmacy communications.

Onsite 40-hour week with evening shift. The position requires CMA/EMT/CNA certification, CPR, and at least two years of related healthcare experience across multiple areas.

Qualifications

• Valid CMA, EMT, or CNA certification required.
• At least two (2) years of progressively responsible healthcare experience in multiple knowledge areas.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Takes vital signs, height and weight and documents in EMR.
• Assists physician/APP with procedures and prepares inmate for examinations.
• Obtains specimen collection and handling, including drawing blood.
