Job summary

Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time Technician I for Southwoods State Prison in Bridgeton, NJ. The technician supports clinical and administrative medical teams by taking vitals, helping with exams, collecting specimens, and managing supplies.

The role requires CMA/EMT/CNA certification, CPR, and a valid driver's license, with an evening, onsite schedule and a 20-hour workweek. Union: Teamsters 97; location Bridgeton, NJ.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of progressively responsible healthcare experience across multiple areas.
• Valid CMA, EMT, or CNA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, height and weight and document in EMR.
• Assist physician/APP with procedures and patient preparation.
• Collect specimens, including blood draws.
• Clean, sterilize and secure equipment in Health Service Unit.
• Maintain supply stock and order replenishments as needed.
• Manage supplies in examination rooms.
• Aggregate medication orders and forward to pharmacy.
