Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist in Tampa, FL. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review laboratory results, and notify donors of unsuitable results. You report to the Center Manager and work under the Center Physician for medical issues.

You will support vaccination programs for staff, assist with EHS and occupational health guidance, and bring at least two years of clinical/hospital experience to the role.

Qualifications

• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history, physical exam, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs on abnormal findings or medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu).
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
