Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support in a physician office setting. You will greet patients, document histories, take vitals, and assist providers with exams and minor procedures.

Responsibilities include front-office tasks, phlebotomy, EKGs, and care coordination. A Medical Assistant certificate and a High School Diploma are preferred, with opportunities to cover satellite offices as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Medical Assistant certificate or higher (preferred)
• Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical office is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, prepare exam rooms, and ensure smooth patient flow.
• Document medical and social history, vital signs, and visit details in the chart.
• Assist providers with procedures, minor surgeries, and tests (EKG, phlebotomy, labs).
• Handle front-office tasks: scheduling, registration, check-in/out, and queues.
• Support care coordination and referrals, and participate in performance improvements.
