Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or higher.
• 2+ years Medical office experience or relevant customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and records vitals in EMR; reviews medical history and allergies.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection; conducts point of care tests and records results.
• Assists with minor surgical procedures; maintains sterile field and prepares instruments.
• Administers prescribed medications and vaccines under provider direction; documents in EMR.
• Handles patient communications, care coordination, scheduling, and referrals per protocol.
• Maintains infection control, inventory, and supply stocking; handles insurance information and copays.
