Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Clinical Services Associate (Medical Assistant) to support clinicians at Mayfair Family Practice. You will balance clinical tasks and patient services to ensure high-quality care and patient satisfaction.

As part of the Clinical Care Associates team, you will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen handling, and EMR documentation, while coordinating referrals, preauthorizations, and patient flow with accuracy and empathy.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate patient-centered care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.
• Ability to perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy and EKGs under supervision.
• Experience with EMR documentation and patient data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist practice manager and physicians to maintain patient focus and high-quality care.
• Perform clinical duties (MA/PSA) including rooming patients, vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
• Coordinate telephonic patient care and referrals with specialists and labs.
• Handle administrative tasks: appointment scheduling, check-out, and insurance verification.
• Maintain infection control, supply inventory, and equipment readiness.
