Penn Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across our Philadelphia-based services. The role includes rooming patients, documenting in EMR, performing phlebotomy and EKGs, and assisting with procedures under supervision.

You will coordinate with care teams, manage forms, and ensure infection control and safety standards. Required qualifications include high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (or 7+ years of experience), and MA

Competenze

H.S. Diploma/GED required.
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (or higher level equivalent) or 7+ years experience.
MA Certification required within 90 days of hire.

Mansioni

Promptly rooms patients and prepares chart in EMR, notes allergies and medications, and initiates self-management goals as appropriate.
Observes patient condition and communicates abnormal data to the provider.
Assists with procedures, phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, and maintains sterile field.
Coordinate care with telephonic care teams, obtain and scan visit-related documents.
Maintain infection control, stock supplies, and ensure a safe patient care environment.
Respond to emergencies per policy and support regulatory compliance.
