Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Clinical Support Coordinator TCT to influence patient care and shape nursing decisions. This role supports high-quality, patient-centered care by mentoring new nurses and ensuring compliance with nursing standards.

The coordinator will be responsible for coaching nursing staff, providing hands-on support during critical care situations, and partnering with unit leaders to enhance nursing practices. A Bachelor's Degree and RN qualification are required, along with specific certifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of nursing experience required.
• 1+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred.
• 1+ years of experience as a preceptor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rounding on nursing units to observe care and provide coaching.
• Guiding new and transitioning nurses through skill development.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Clinical Support Coordinator TCT, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

The Clinical Support Coordinator supports high quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The Clinical Support Resource RN supports multiple units, providing guidance and education on the hospital’s standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Rounding on nursing units to observe care, provide in-the-moment coaching, and reinforce safe, quality nursing practice
• Guiding new and transitioning nurses through skill development, clinical judgment, care planning, and escalation processes
• Providing hands‑on support during rapid responses and codes, including feedback and clinical debriefs to reinforce learning
• Teaching, demonstrating, and troubleshooting essential nursing skills while identifying shared learning needs to strengthen training
• Reinforcing safety standards, regulatory expectations, and communication best practices (AIDET, Teach‑Back, Narrating Care)
• Partnering with unit leaders to support nurse growth, improve practice, and foster accountability, safety, and teamwork

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
