Job summary

Merck seeks an experienced Inventory Manager Clinical Supplies Project Manager to lead downstream planning for clinical trials. The role interfaces with clinical development, CMC, and supply chain to ensure steady CFG supply across the depot network and distribution to sites.

The role requires strong project management, SAP/Oracle proficiency, and excellent cross-functional collaboration, with a hybrid work setup and US-based responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or science; or 10+ years pharma clinical supply experience.
• 5+ years project management experience.
• 5+ years planning, scheduling, coordination of supply chain activities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Strong knowledge of SAP/Oracle and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Clinical Trial Team to set timelines and strategy for clinical supplies.
• Coordinate with GCS Logistics, Distribution, and Operations for supply planning.
• Establish timelines for clinical supply needs per protocol and packaging/distribution signals.
• Analyze risks and develop mitigation strategies with clinical partners and leadership.
• Utilize SAP, IRT, Veeva, MEDS, and MS Office in management of clinical supplies.
• Support change controls, deviations, and regulatory inspections as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning and execution of clinical supply processes.
