Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join the unit-based leadership team. This role provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit and may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director.

The position focuses on a unit-specific patient population within Atlanta and surrounding areas. Qualified candidates will have an accredited nursing degree, GA RN license (or multistate), BLS certification, and at least three years of clinical

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR equivalent experience.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Multistate license (NLC/eNLC).
• Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the unit-based leadership team overseeing nursing operations.
• Provide supervision of nursing operations for a unit.
• In the absence of the Manager or Director, assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.
• Work with a unit-specific patient population.

REQUIRED

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

1. Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
2. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED

1. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
