Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead the nursing operations of a unit and to ensure high-quality patient care. The role includes stepping in for the Manager or Director to provide 24-hour nursing leadership as needed.

The position requires a nursing degree, active Georgia RN license, BLS certification, and several years of clinical experience, with preference for specialty area experience and advanced certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Three years of clinical experience with at least one year in the specialty area, OR
• Current Georgia RN license or Multistate license (NLC/eNLC) required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Color vision adequate for unit-specific duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing operations on the assigned unit.
• Provide 24-hour nursing coverage in the absence of the Manager or Director.
• Collaborate with the unit-based leadership team to ensure quality care.
• Oversee staffing, patient safety, and care coordination.

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

REQUIRED

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

1. Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
2. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED

1. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
