Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Clinical Supervisor to join the unit-based leadership team and oversee nursing operations on a dedicated unit. You will help ensure high-quality patient care and coordinate with interdisciplinary staff.

In the absence of the Unit Manager or Director, you may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility, working to maintain safe, effective care across the unit while supporting staff development and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 3 years of clinical experience with at least 1 year in area of specialty.
• Current Georgia RN license (or NLC/eNLC) or multi-state license.
• BLS certification required.
• Color vision acuity as required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing operations of a unit as a member of the leadership team.
• In absence of Manager/Director, assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.
• Collaborate with unit staff to ensure patient care standards.

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
