Job summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Health is seeking a Clinical Social Worker I/II to join the Office Based Buprenorphine Induction Clinic. Under supervision, CSWs provide short-term counseling and coordinate with health teams, with licensure pathways for CSW I/II differing by credentials.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology or related field from an accredited university.
• Strong interpersonal skills promoting collaboration with diverse backgrounds.
• Clear, well-organized oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, be detail oriented, and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Ability to learn and use electronic health records and digital applications.
• Experience working in behavioral health or medical settings.
• Experience providing counseling to adults with serious mental illness or substance use disorders.

• Provide comprehensive assessment, targeted case management, and community outreach for substance use services.
• Offer short-term individual, group, and/or family counseling as needed.
