Job summary

Iterative Health is seeking a Research Site Manager to oversee day-to-day clinical trial operations across site staff, ensuring enrollment goals, quality, and compliance. You will lead onboarding, training, and performance, while coordinating with CROs, sponsors, and investigators to keep studies on track.

The role requires clinical research experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to travel across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years as a senior Clinical Research Coordinator; some management experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply clinic policies and research protocols.
• Proficiency with standard office software; experience with EMR and CTMS platforms preferred.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Ability to interact professionally with staff, investigators, sponsors, and cross-functional partners.
• Willingness to travel across facility sites and occasionally to company meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities across research site(s) including staff management and operational planning.
• Create and implement standardized clinic workflows to drive operational excellence and site goal achievement.
• Attend site selection visits and site initiation visits (SIVs).
• Oversee inventory of study supplies and maintain stock levels.
• Manage site-level purchasing and expenses in line with cost guidelines and profitability goals.
• Act as backup CRC as needed to manage workloads.
• Own the full employee lifecycle for site staff including hiring and onboarding.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks in EMR and CTMS by CRCs and RAs.
• Lead onsite training of clinical operations staff and study initiation visits.
• Monitor timelines and address performance issues.
• Review and approve timesheets.
• Collaborate with Iterative Health management to meet enrollment and performance targets.
• Meet productivity and quality metrics and elevate barriers to central team.
• Follow up on monitoring visit action items with CROs and sponsors.
• Communicate with Principal Investigators and referring physicians about opportunities.
• Maintain regular site research meetings to discuss progress and enrollment.
• Identify and manage third-party vendors and ensure contracts are executed before study activation.
• Protect the rights and welfare of research participants and ensure compliance.
