Job summary

The University of Olivet in Olivet, MI seeks a full-time Simulation and Lab Coordinator to run nursing skills labs, manage clinical placements, and support the BSN program. This role coordinates simulation sessions, maintains equipment, and ensures safety and compliance.

Eligibility does not require a nursing degree; prior experience in simulation operations or allied health is welcomed. The position runs July 1 through April 30 and includes benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Two or more years in healthcare, simulation, or education operations.
• Aptitude with technical equipment and troubleshooting.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple schedules and records.
• Ability to work with faculty, students, and external partners while keeping FERPA confidentiality.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and stand for long lab sessions.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, operate, and teardown simulators and manage equipment.
• Build simulation scenarios using manikin software and clinical content.
• Operate AV/capture system and support debriefings.
• Serve as simulation operator during live sessions and voice patient roles.
• Prepare and stock lab stations and assist faculty with testing logistics.
• Maintain inventory, budgets, and safety protocols.
• Schedule lab access and manage open lab hours.
