Job summary

The University of Olivet's Nursing Program seeks a full-time nursing faculty member to teach across the Pre-Licensure BSN curriculum in Olivet, MI. The program uses an integrated course model with didactic instruction, skills lab, simulation, and clinical rotations, admitting a new cohort each semester.

The successful candidate will influence curriculum and course design, participate in CCNE accreditation activities, advise students, and contribute to program growth and events.

Qualifications

• MSN from an accredited program.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in Michigan, or eligibility by start date.
• Minimum of two years of direct clinical nursing practice.
• Demonstrated ability to teach or precept in clinical, lab, or classroom settings.
• Ability to meet clinical facility health and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Teach across the Pre-Licensure BSN curriculum using a flipped classroom model.
• Maintain course content in Canvas with weekly modules, quizzes, midterm and final examinations.
• Teach skills lab and supervise competency validation.
• Facilitate simulation sessions and debriefing per INACSL Standards of Best Practice.
• Supervise student clinical rotations and evaluate clinical performance.
• Advise and mentor nursing students and support NCLEX preparation.
• Participate in program assessment, CCNE accreditation activities, admissions, and program events.
• Serve on department and university committees and pursue scholarship.
