Job summary

Stanton Optical is seeking a Clinical Services Manager to supervise the store team and support the Brand Manager in delivering excellent patient care and achieving clinical goals. You will often act as Manager on Duty and help guide the clinical staff to uphold pharmacy-grade standards in a retail setting.

The role emphasizes training, HIPAA-compliant record-keeping, and coaching Doctor Technicians on diagnostics and contact lens care. A patient-first mindset and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail management experience or experience in a clinical leadership role.
• An associate’s degree or advanced certification beyond a high school diploma; or currently enrolled in a comparable program.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Passion for exceptional customer/patient care and a willingness to mentor and train others.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing business and schedule requirements.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Google Docs, and other basic office tools.
• Optical or clinical experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store team to meet clinical goals with guidance from Clinical Operations.
• Act as Manager on Duty to support store operations and sales goals.
• Greet patients, identify needs, and explain products and services.
• Drive sales while delivering outstanding customer service.
• Train Doctor Technicians on diagnostics, local mode, and digital refraction; PEG standards.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Ensure store brand standards and basic housekeeping.
• Coach cross-trained staff on contact lens insertion/removal.
• Oversee lens orders, trials, and weekly inventory management.
