Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support clinicians with real-time documentation. The role focuses on documenting patient encounters, coding, and preparing after-visit summaries while collaborating closely with providers in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Ideal candidates have medical terminology knowledge and clinical exposure; bilingual skills are a plus. The position is full-time and requires in-person clinic attendance with a strong emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience including shadowing/volunteering preferred.
• Priority given to bilingual candidates where indicated.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in real time and create structured notes including HPI, assessment, plan, and exam.
• Assist with CPT and ICD-10 coding and after-visit summaries.
• Provide administrative support to the care team and help with referrals and tasks.
