Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with real-time clinical documentation in our Colorado clinics. You will observe visits, document encounters, and help close care gaps through accurate CPT/ICD coding and after-visit summaries.

Ideal candidates bring clinical exposure, strong listening/communication, and the ability to adapt to value-based care workflows. This full-time role emphasizes in-person collaboration with the care team and patients.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications, from pre-med or clinical exposure.
• Strong listening and communication abilities important for real-time documentation.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new clinical documentation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document patient encounters in real time with structured notes.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes and prepare after-visit summaries.
• Support clinicians with accurate clinical documentation and workflow optimization.
• Collaborate with the care team and participate in daily huddles as needed.
