Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital Ontario Close to Home Clinical Therapies is seeking a Scheduler/Registrar to manage the patient scheduling process for their section. This role operates mid-morning to clinic close, typically 9:30–6:00 Monday–Thursday and 9:00–4:00 Friday.

The incumbent coordinates with clinical staff to ensure resources are available, sends reminders, maintains accurate records, and generates scheduling reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent, required.
• Two years of medical secretary experience, required.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact with the public internal and external.

Responsibilities

• Manages the entire patient scheduling process of their section and maintains patient reminder activity in conjunction with the scheduling.
• Coordinates with relevant parties to ensure resources are available for scheduled events and collection of pre-registration information.
• Sends reminders or directs phone calls to patients, ensuring awareness of upcoming events and appointments.
• Generates reports on scheduling activities and presents them to relevant parties as needed.
