Responsibilities

• Receive and give inter-shift reports, verbally and in writing via the 24-hour report.
• Assign duties to nurses aides based on residents' needs and staff abilities.
• Make rounds at shift start and end to observe residents and field urgent needs.
• Take and record vital signs; report abnormalities to physician or Nurse Manager.
• Develop, update and modify comprehensive care plans as conditions change.
• Administer medications per orders and Pharmacy Committee guidelines.
• Perform treatments as ordered and consistent with nursing policies.
• Greet admissions and orient new residents and families.
