Job summary

Aston Group is seeking a Nursing Supervisor/Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations in New York. You will supervise nursing staff, ensure quality care, enforce policies, and coordinate with other resident services to sustain comprehensive care.

Responsibilities include staff meetings, incident investigations, performance evaluations, and ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; RN license required in state of employment.
• Peripheral IV certification is required.
• At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
• One year of management experience preferred.
• Experience with geriatrics and subacute populations preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in English (reading/writing/speaking).

Responsibilities

• Monitor the daily delivery of nursing care and staff performance per policies.
• Plan and conduct shift staff meetings regularly to improve services.
• Identify problems in care delivery and implement corrective actions immediately.
• Provide written/oral reports to the Director of Nursing as needed.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services for continuity of care.
• Begin investigation of accidents, including interviews and data gathering.
• Interpret policies to staff, residents, visitors and government agencies as required.
• Ensure confidentiality of resident information at all times.
• Develop work assignments and delegate authority to Charge Nurses as needed.
• Conduct daily rounds at units and address issues at start/end of shift.
