Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison’s School of Nursing is seeking a Clinical Placement Coordinator to manage daily operations and support clinical education experiences across programs. You will serve as a key resource for students, faculty, staff, preceptors, and clinical partners, facilitating placements and ensuring onboarding and compliance requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Two years+ coordinating complex processes, projects, or services in healthcare or higher education.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
• Experience interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for large data/documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database or records management systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support student compliance, ensuring accurate documentation and timely completion of requirements for participation in academic and clinical experiences (10%).
• Exercise independent judgement for development, implementation, promotion, and evaluation of one or more academic programs or events (30%).
• Identify program needs, contribute to unit workflows, schedule logistics, and secure resources for meetings, events, and interviews (20%).
• Coordinate program components and evaluate effectiveness, providing recommendations for improvement (30%).
• May supervise day-to-day activities of one or more academic programs and resolve issues to meet unit goals (10%).
