Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate patient needs and implement medically prescribed PT treatment within a supervised rehabilitation program. The role includes initiation of assessments, developing attainable goals, and coordinating care with the team.

The candidate will document care thoroughly, teach fieldwork students, and maintain required productivity and competencies in line with hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; NY license or temporary permit.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• BLS or CPR/AED certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment and evaluation of PT needs.
• Implements Treatment Plans and Protocols according to standards.
• Completes all required documentation in medical charts and treatment records.
• Supervises and educates Fieldwork students and other learners.
• Maintains patient care productivity as indicated by unit procedures.
• Continues proficiency in skills required to treat assigned patient population.
