Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital is hiring a Per Diem Physical Therapist to evaluate needs and implement medically prescribed therapy in a supervised rehab program. You will participate in clinical education, document care, and ensure treatment plans meet current professional standards.

The role requires NYS PT licensure, strong communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care within a leading orthopedic program. Per diem schedule and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• New York State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit required.
• BLS or CPR/AED certification required on entry to the position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and educate fieldwork students and other learners.
• Maintain patient care productivity according to unit procedures.
• Maintain and update patient records per guidelines and JACHO/CARF standards.
• Assess and adjust Treatment Plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Perform initial assessment and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families, and provide patient/family education during rehab.
