Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to assess and treat patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, sensory, respiratory, and cardiac conditions. You will design and implement plans of care, document examinations and progress, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include monitoring therapy, educating patients and staff, and participating in discharge planning and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• 1 year experience in the licensed practice of physical therapy.
• Licensure as Physical Therapist (PT) – KSBHA required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents the initial examination, testing, evaluation, and diagnosis.
• Reviews documentation and revises the plan of care as needed.
• Develops the plan of care including frequency, duration of treatment and goals.
• Delegates tasks to rehabilitation technicians under supervision.
• Coordinates with other practitioners to integrate therapy with patient care.
• Establishes discharge plan and discharge summary when indicated.
• Monitors and educates therapy staff and students.
• Educates patient, caregivers, and interdisciplinary staff.
