Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support a licensed therapist in providing rehabilitative care to patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiac conditions. The role includes administering treatments, documenting care, and educating patients and families.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program and Kansas PTA licensure, with BLS expected within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Licensed PTA in Kansas (KSBHA) or eligible for licensure.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers physical therapy treatments under supervision of a licensed therapist.
• Measures and administers standardized tests within scope of practice.
• Documents treatments using ADA/Medicare guidelines.
• Educates patients, families, and staff on rehabilitation strategies.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary care teams for patient care.
• Performs clerical duties as needed and inputs billing charges.
