Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Kansas is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to plan and administer treatments for patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, sensory, respiratory, and cardiac conditions. You will assess range of motion, strength, coordination, and ADL status to restore function and reduce pain.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and ongoing certification; NBCOT preferred and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Occupational Therapy.
• NBCOT certification preferred for licensure and practice.
• BLS certification to be completed within first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Completes evaluations to assess ROM, strength, motor planning, balance, and ADL status.
• Establishes and provides treatment to improve physical and emotional well-being toward goals.
• Evaluate effects of treatment and adjust plans to maximize benefit.
• Review referrals, patient condition, and records to determine appropriate treatment.
• Fabrication of custom upper-extremity splints/orthotic devices.
• Prepare adaptive equipment to increase independence in ADLs.
• Consult with healthcare team to coordinate medical interventions.
• Provide modalities and educate patients and families on OT procedures.
• Instruct patients and families on home treatment continuation.
• Record treatment and progress in charts or EMR.
