Job summary

TriCore, New Mexico’s largest laboratory, seeks a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist to join the Northside team. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen handling, and on-call duties with weekend and holiday coverage. Apprenticeship options exist for candidates without experience.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• ASCP PBT certification preferred.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibit problem solving to ensure patient care levels.
• Handle hospital communication and on-call responsibilities by location.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Participate in on-call and holiday coverage.
• Perform basic clerical tasks as needed.
