Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas seeks an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead daily operational and clinical pharmacy activities. You will oversee staffing, monitor pharmacy systems, and coordinate with clinical leadership to optimize patient care and formulary management.

The role involves budget participation, clinical initiative development, and ongoing staff development within a hospital pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree of science or PharmD from ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy is required.
2 years of pharmacy experience or an equivalent residency.
BLS certification required by start date; Texas license or eligibility within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operational and clinical pharmacy activities and workflows.
Oversee pharmacist staffing and workload distribution; provide status reports to management.
Monitor pharmacy information systems and coordinate with IR on issues and improvements.
Assist with budget preparation and daily financial activities for high-cost drugs.
Develop clinical initiatives and communicate therapeutic alternatives during shortages.
Mentor staff and lead continuous process improvements in pharmacy services.
