Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Pediatric Pharmacy Supervisor to lead daily hospital pharmacy operations and ensure safe, effective medication use. You will report to the Director of Pharmacy and mentor pharmacists, technicians, and students.

The role emphasizes clinical collaboration, formulary management, and adherence to quality and safety initiatives within a large tertiary care setting.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in good standing with TX State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum 3 years hospital experience in Pediatric Pharmacy.
• Minimum 1 year as a Pharmacy Supervisor OR alternative: 5 years hospital pharmacy, PGY2 residency, or other certification.

Responsibilities

• Interpret orders and verify into the pharmacy computer system.
• Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for interactions and allergies.
• Provide clinical consultation and suggest cost-effective alternatives.
• Mentor staff and document interventions thoroughly.
• Oversee staffing schedules and supervise pharmacy technicians.
