Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for a psychiatric hospital setting. You will ensure safe use of psychotropic meds, review orders, monitor responses, and collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.

You will educate staff and patients on medications, manage interactions, and document clinical activities to support optimal patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• 1 year of pharmacy experience; English proficiency.
• Eligible for Texas State Board of Pharmacy licensure on hire; license within 30 days.
• ACPE-IV sterile compounding certification and BLS/ACLS where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to psychiatric inpatients.
• Review and verify medication orders, monitor responses to therapies.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and nurses to optimize treatment.
• Educate staff and patients on medication use and adverse effects.
• Document interventions and ensure formulary compliance.
