Qualifications

  • Licensed Pharmacist (IDFPR) per state requirements.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Pharmacy required.

Responsibilities

  • Check all medications leaving the department for quality assurance.
  • Have knowledge of chemotherapy agents and hyperalimentation.
  • Dispense medications from physician orders and ensure accurate entry.
  • Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding orders and issues.
  • Collaborate to provide cost-effective drug therapy for patients.
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians in equipment and medication handling.
  • Dose medications and monitor for adverse drug reactions.
  • Enter oral and IV medications into HBOC System.
  • Participate in ongoing pharmacy department projects and procedures.
