Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing
• Familiarity with chemotherapy agents and IV admixture
• Knowledge of narcotic control and investigational drugs

Responsibilities

• Checks all medications leaving the department for quality assurance.
• Communicates with healthcare professionals regarding orders, drug interactions, and dosing questions.
• Dispenses medications from physician orders and ensures accurate entry into the system.
• Doses medications using patient-specific parameters and monitors for adverse drug reactions.
• Oversees pharmacy technicians operating Omnicell and related systems.
• Participates in planning, policies, and continuing education in pharmacy.
