Job summary

The pharmacist will verify orders, ensure accurate dosing, and communicate with healthcare professionals regarding drug therapies. This role involves working with chemotherapy agents, IV admixtures, and narcotics, supporting high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist with current IDFPR license.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required.

Responsibilities

• Check all medications leaving the department for quality assurance.
• Possess knowledge of chemotherapy agents, hyperalimentation, IV admixture, narcotic control, investigational drugs, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Ensure accurate entry of orders and dosing for patient-specific parameters.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals about orders and drug interactions.
• Participate in planning, training, and projects to improve pharmacy services.
• Enter oral and IV medications into HBOC System; oversee Omnicell operations.
