Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with state certification (Illinois IDFPR listed)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Check all medications leaving the department to verify quality assurance.
• Possess working knowledge of chemotherapy agents, hyperalimentation, IV admixture, narcotic control, investigational drugs, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding orders, drug interactions, and dosing questions.
• Enter oral and IV medications into HBOC System and oversee Omnicell operations by technicians.
• Participate in planning and updating pharmacy services to maintain high standards of practice.
