Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and active licensure with IDFPR. Responsibilities include ensuring medication safety, handling chemotherapy agents, IV admixtures, and maintaining accurate computer records, while collaborating with clinicians.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist per IDFPR (Illinois).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Check all medications leaving the department for quality assurance.
• Have working knowledge of chemotherapy agents, hyperalimentation, IV admixture, narcotic control, and investigational drugs.
• Maintain accurate order entry and ensure dosages are appropriate per physician orders.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding orders and drug interactions.
• Assist in planning and updating pharmacy services to maintain high standards of practice.
• Enter oral and IV medications into HBOC System; oversee technicians operating Omnicell.
