Mercy Pharmacy is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist (Retail) to oversee dispensing, verify orders, monitor therapy, and provide clinical guidance to patients and care teams. You will collaborate with physicians to optimize therapy and ensure regulatory compliance in a patient-centered setting.

The role emphasizes safe medication use, counseling, and supervision of staff, with opportunities to contribute to high-quality patient outcomes within Mercy's care continuum.

Qualifications

• Education: BSPharm or PharmD from ACPE-accredited School/College of Pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.

Responsabilités

• Review, verify, and process medication orders for appropriate dosing, scheduling, route, and therapeutic use.
• Identify, prevent, and resolve medication-related issues (drug interactions, duplications, allergies, contraindications).
• Collaborate with physicians to optimize medication therapies.
• Oversee preparation, labeling, dispensing, and delivery of medications.
• Provide medication counseling and drug information to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Respond to complex medication inquiries and ensure accuracy of meds prepared by staff.
• Prioritize workload to meet patient and operational needs; supervise technicians in the absence of the manager.
• Adhere to pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements.
