Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist (Retail) to oversee dispensing, order verification, and therapy monitoring. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize medication therapy while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.

You will supervise pharmacy technicians and contribute to patient-centered care in Mercy’s retail locations, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and excellent service.

Qualifications

• BSPharm or PharmD degree from ACPE-accredited School or College of Pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist license in good standing with state Board of Pharmacy.
• Missouri: Medication Therapy Services Certificate within 90 days of hire (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process medication orders for appropriate dosing and administration.
• Identify and resolve medication-related issues (drug interactions, duplications, allergies).
• Collaborate with physicians to optimize medication therapies.
• Oversee preparation, labeling, dispensing, and delivery of medications.
• Provide medication counseling and drug information to patients and staff.
• Ensure accuracy of medications prepared by technicians and support staff.
