Job summary

Mercy seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to oversee preparation and dispensing of medications and to verify orders. You will monitor patient therapy, provide pharmacology information to clinicians, and intervene with physicians to resolve medication-related problems.

The role also includes supervising pharmacy support staff to ensure timely medication administration. Applicants should hold a BS or PharmD from ACPE-accredited programs and a current pharmacist license.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited degree required.
• Current pharmacist license in applicable State (Missouri preferred).
• Preferred Certification: Missouri MT Service Certificate within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Oversees preparation and dispensing of medication and medication order verification.
• Monitors patient medication therapy and provides medication information across care teams.
• Identifies and resolves medication-related problems through physician intervention.
• Supervises pharmacy support staff to ensure timely medication administration.

Education

Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
