Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receives prescriptions, interprets prescriptions, and reviews the patient's medication profile/history.
• Provides clinical interventions and optimal drug therapy recommendations with the provider.
• Compounds and oversees preparation and dispensing of medications including sterile products.
• Complies with formulary and cost-optimization programs.
• Completes required documentation in medical records and related systems.
• Counsels patients and families on pharmaceutical care issues.
• Directs workflow and supervises pharmacy staff during shifts.
• Adheres to applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Identifies and participates in process improvement opportunities.
• Precepts students, residents, and trains new staff as needed.
